  1. SCSI device termination

  3. Q: How should the termination be set up on the SCSI bus?
  4.  
  5. A: The bus must be terminated at each end.  Now that every computer ships with an internal SCSI disk, every computer has a terminator internally (on the internal drive).  If you have no external SCSI devices, you're set.

  7. If you DO have external devices, EXACTLY ONE should be terminated: the device furthest (electrically) from the cube.  WE SUPPLY POWER for the terminator on the external SCSI connector.

  9. We have seen instances where there's no external termination and things work okay; this is NOT recommended, though.
